Who are we?

Our team includes Hannah, an Occupational Therapist, and Katiane, a Speech Pathologist. We have both completed the Graduate Certificate in Autism Assessment, and are both experienced diagnosticians. We are both members of the Western Australian Autism Diagnostician's Forum (WAADF). 


Who we assess?

We assess children between 3-16 years of age.


What is the process?
 

1.    Obtain a referral from your child’s GP or Paediatrician for our service.

2.    You will have an initial MS teams meeting with a therapist to ensure that there is sufficient evidence and justification to progress with an autism assessment.

3.    The therapists will collect more information from your child’s school or day care.

4.    The assessment day will take place at your home. It will consist of a 1:1 assessment with your child, followed by an interview with relevant caregivers.

5.    The therapists will link you in with a Clinical Psychologist for a ‘confirmation assessment’ of the findings.

6.    You will receive a diagnostic report, outlining a diagnostic outcome.

7.    This diagnosis needs to be signed off by a Paediatrician within two years.

If you have completed part of your diagnostic assessment with another service, we are able to provide support as the secondary diagnostician. Contact us to further discuss your situation and how we can support. 


What is the cost?

We tailor assessment packages depending on your child's presentation and assessment history. Our assessment packages range from $1,450 - $1,950 plus travel fees. You will receive your quote prior to assessment day. 


What is the wait time?

We are generally able to book in the initial screening meeting within 1-2 weeks, and the assessment day within 2-4 weeks from first contact.
